Midwest Quality Wholesale came to Iowa State University seeking a logo and a website. We gave them the logo, website, and an entirely new way of thinking about brand.
Acting as an impromptu design studio, we created a modular identity that was deeply rooted in midwest values. My colleague Julian Osorio and I were the creative directors on this project, helping arrange the rest of the students into studio roles they best fit.
I wanted to make sure everybody felt their design was part of this project, so I took a piece of everybody’s work and refined these into icons that fit with the typography Julian and I selected and the logo we designed, creating a tapestry of symbols that represent the company and our class's work as a whole.
We delivered to Midwest Quality Wholesale a professionally designed branding package: a ready-to-use identity with all the working pieces and a community-driven narrative that defined how their company could function and support society.
I documented this process as a case study in Graphic Design Social.
