I created an ethereal world from spaces that my partner and I formerly occupied to as a way to connect when we were apart. I considered other people who occupied these spaces, including those whose land we stole to create all of the states which I've inhabited.
I used a mixture of physical media, digital painting, and glitched photographs of the spaces to create this piece.

I won the Best in Show award for this piece in the Art Inspired exhibit at Iowa State University; it was one of 39 works chosen from 300+ entries.
This piece was also selected for the international 5th Annual Fusion Art Colorful Abstractions Exhibition in the photography/digital category; it was one of 210 pieces chosen from 559 entries.
