When I worked at Drake University, I was responsible for designing the "Buy Fresh, Buy Local" newsletter for Des Moines, which also happened to align with my values.The information from the farms included in the newsletter was self-reported, and often was delivered to us at the last minute. This often caused me to redesign the newsletter multiple times during the annual design process to make room for late information. Because of this, I redesigned the template for the newsletter for future use to accommodate these issues. I made it match the "Buy Fresh, Buy Local" campaign graphics and the Drake University style guide. I commissioned illustrations from our student designer to help readers identify farm types.
